The corrections, explained
before you need them.
Forte Webinar: on-demand video for researchers writing in English — articles, abstracts, and the reasons papers come back from reviewers. Presented in English by native instructors, with English subtitles, fifteen to forty-five minutes each.
Gaku — the seal of learning
Native instructors.
English throughout.
The library is not general writing advice: articles, abstracts and the reasons papers come back — the parts of a manuscript that cost a Japanese lab the most rounds of revision.
A paid membership. Videos, slides and answers to your questions.
The library
Three examples of what is inside
Thirty-one recordings, added to over time. Each one takes a single problem an editor sees repeatedly and finishes it — no series to follow, no order to keep.
A, an, the
The articles English insists on and Japanese does not have — the basic guide, in one sitting.
How to write an abstract
The two hundred words a journal editor reads first, taken apart and explained.

Five reasons a paper comes back from the journal, and what raises the odds of acceptance.

Membership
What a member gets,
and how to join
Forte Webinar is a paid membership rather than a course: you get every recording that already exists, the slides that go with them, and somewhere to send the question a video did not answer.
There is no term and no timetable. Write to the coordinator and the application form comes back with the current rate on it.
What the membership includes
- Every recording in the library, on demand
- The presentation slides, to download and keep
- Questions answered in English
- English subtitles on every video
The rate is quoted on the application form rather than published here.
Why researchers choose Forte
Five things you are paying for
Native instructors, in English
Every recording is presented in English by a native-speaker instructor, and every one of them carries English subtitles.
One problem per video
Each recording finishes its own topic in fifteen to forty-five minutes, so it can be watched when the problem appears rather than in order.
Slides you keep
Slides download with every recording, so the material stays when the video ends.
Somewhere to ask
A recording answers the common question. For the one it did not answer, members write in and get an answer in English.
The whole library
Thirty-one recordings open with the membership, in any order — nothing here depends on anything else.
Frequently asked
Questions about Forte Webinar
No — it is a paid membership. The rate is quoted on the application form, which the coordinator sends when you write in; there is no term to commit to and no timetable to keep.
English, with English subtitles. The slides and the answers to member questions are in English as well.
Between fifteen and forty-five minutes, and most of them run about half an hour. Each one finishes its own topic, so there is no series to follow.
The membership is sold on its own; being an editing client is not a condition of joining.
Yes. Every recording comes with its presentation slides, and members download and keep them.
Send it to the coordinator: member questions are answered in English, and that exchange is part of the membership.
Write to us and the application form comes back with the current rate. Fill it in, send it back, and the library opens.
